PrefaceOver the past many years
there have been numerous requests for information on Lay Fraternities of
Charles de Foucauld. These requests have challenged our lay
fraternities of This booklet describes
the life and spirit of the Lay Fraternities of the Little Brothers and
Sisters of the Eucharist, which takes as its mandate to become bread. Taken.
Blessed. Broken and Given. What is expressed in
this booklet is only a beginning, We hope that those of you who reflect on
these pages will share with us what you observe and will help us
improve what is contained in these few pages. Our fraternities have
been together for over twenty-five years. Presently we are two fraternities
and twelve in number. For many the spirituality of Brother Charles de
Foucauld has become a Way of Life for the rest of their lives. It is our hope that in
sharing about our fraternity life that it will be a sower of many new seeds
and many more little communities of faith. May the Lord Jesus give us
all the grace to live the ideal of Brother Charles. ”Unless the grain
of wheat falls to the ground and dies. It will remain Just a grain of
